Position: Volunteer Grounds Maintenance Worker

Location: ARC Retreat Community, nestled on 90 acres of pristine woodlands in the Grandy Pines.

About Us: ARC Retreat Community is a serene and picturesque retreat center dedicated to providing a peaceful environment for our guests. We believe in the healing power of nature and strive to maintain our beautiful grounds to the highest standards.

Role Description: As a Volunteer Grounds Maintenance Worker, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, beauty, and functionality of our outdoor spaces. If you relish the great outdoors, enjoy physical work, and find joy in working with wood, this position is perfect for you.

Responsibilities:

• Trail Maintenance: Regular trail walking to ensure safe and well-maintained paths for our guests. Processing wood and spreading woodchips to elevate the trails.
• Grounds Clearance: Clearing debris, fallen branches, and maintaining a tidy appearance across the property. Looking for somebody who would love to tend a fire pit, while soaking in bird songs and fresh air.
• Development: Assisting in the development of new outdoor spaces, such as gardens, trails and pathways.
• Expansion: Contributing to the expansion and enhancement of our retreat center.

Qualifications:

• Passion for the outdoors and a love for working in nature and with wood.
• Ability to use tools such as weedwipers, lawnmowers, chainsaws, hand saws, and other equipment. (Not necessary, but helpful.)
• Physical fitness and stamina for outdoor tasks.
• Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with our team.
