Resilience, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the mental health of students, as well as reducing mass shootings, suicide, and depression. Resilience, Inc also works to combat declining test scores, low student engagement, and a slew of other social issues.

Our organization focuses on offering Social Emotional Learning tools to enable K-12 schools to teach emotional intelligence through five core topics; self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship management, goal setting, and effective decision-making. Resilience, Inc. also provides tools for acquiring and maintaining inspiration, hope, and overall well-being.

Our mission is to teach SEL at every school in the country. It is a tough challenge, but we know "No Challenge, No Change." Resilience offers internship programs that require at least a 4 month commitment with a minimum of 5 hours per week. There are flexible start and end dates with the option to continue after meeting the minimum requirement

Some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position.

As a Graphic Design Intern, you will work closely with our marketing/advertising team to gain hands-on experience in the field of graphic design. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build their design portfolio, learn industry-standard software and tools, and develop practical design skills in a professional setting.

Responsibilities:

- Create graphics for social media.

- Promote the social-emotional curriculum through developing projects for the Marketing department.

- Build and execute a graphic design plan based on the SEL curriculum

- Be responsible for creating, editing, and placing graphics for print lesson plans within a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum.

- Be responsible for creating and editing social media posts and merchandise ideas

- Use graphic design software to create a variety of visually engaging media for digital and print.

- Present fresh creative ideas and concepts for merchandise

Requirements:

- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design skills and creative projects.

- Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.

- Ability to interpret and translate design briefs into visually appealing concepts.

- Excellent attention to detail and a strong eye for aesthetics.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

- Knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms is a plus.

- Familiarity with motion graphics and video editing software is a bonus but not required.
