Many of us at Warrior Canine Connection wear multiple hats and make things work as the job calls for it. There may be times in which our projects need outside and additional support. WCC anticipates calling for help to operate at an even higher level in the following areas. Web

  • WordPress-based SEO effectiveness training and implementation
  • Google Analytics integration and best practices
  • API: WordPress/Google Analytics or third-party plugin suggestions
  • Developer: Front End evaluation / Back End integration
  • Integration of advanced media / Video/Animation/Interaction design
Event Videography
  • HQ Events / Graduation / Ruff Mudder
  • We may have a need for additional pro-vid footage during special events. (8-bit, 4k, 120fps, capabilities preferred.)
    • Please understand that credit (outside of your own CV, reels, or portfolio) for video or photos created for WCC cannot be guaranteed, Most of our image and video use cases do not have opportunities for adding by-lines.
Computer Science:
  • Data management and Automated processes (Mac/Unix)
  • NAS configuration and maintenance / best practices
  • Metadata Tagging / Automation / Photo + Video Library cataloging/indexing/tagging
Music
  • Folk/Acoustic guitar audio beds for video - royalty free.

Improving our processes, data automation, and future-proofing our 'behind the scenes’ creation of video/photo/web/social/libraries/ai tools/etc. will allow us to focus more time on directly benefiting the Veterans we serve by telling their stories and seeking help to support MBTR participants, dog placements, partners, and of course our Volunteers!

Mission Statement

Warrior Canine Connection enlists recovering Warriors in a therapeutic mission of learning to train service dogs for their fellow Veterans.

Description

Warrior Canine Connection places highly trained service dogs with Veterans who have visible and invisible wounds.

We are seeking volunteer Puppy Parents to help us fulfill our mission. Puppy Parents raise our service dogs for approximately two years before the dog graduates and is placed with a Veteran. Our Puppy Parents will be the first to tell you that the time, attention, and love they give to these future service dogs is incredibly rewarding and joyful.

Each puppy goes home with their Puppy Parent between the age of 8-12 weeks. To be considered for this important work, you must be willing and able to provide the following support and training for your WCC puppy:

  • Provide a stable, safe, consistent and loving environment
  • Supervise the young puppy throughout the day
  • Teach the puppy manners and basic commands
  • Keep the puppy on a leash at all times or supervised in a securely fenced area
  • Closely monitor the puppy’s progress and submit monthly reports
  • Attend weekly training classes, including social outings that build skills and confidence
  • Provide the puppy with age-appropriate socialization opportunities
  • Ensure that your WCC puppy is the only dog under the age of one in your home
  • Agree to return the puppy upon request
