Looking to volunteer at the Rochester Walk to Defeat ALS? We have a variety of roles available, including:
Registration (*4 people to stay behind during walk): Assist with checking in participants, distributing t-shirts, and collecting donations. Four volunteers are needed to stay behind during the walk to assist latecomers.
Merchandise Set-Up: Help set up tables and displays for ALS merchandise sales.
Parking Attendants: Direct participants to available parking areas and assist with traffic flow.
Welcome Crew: Greet participants, provide event information, and answer questions.
Plus, there are many more opportunities to get involved and support this important cause. Join us in the fight against ALS!

In the quest to create a world without ALS, our vision is to care for and support all people living with Lou Gehrig's disease as we leave no stone unturned in our relentless search for a cure.
Description
The ALS Association is a non-profit organization addressing the needs of persons with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) (more commonly known as "Lou Gehrig's Disease").
The following programs and services are provided through our organization:
- ALS patients and families are provided information and resources about ALS as requested.
- Support Groups have been established and maintained providing peer and family support in all three states.
- Adaptive devices and equipment can be provided at no cost through our loan closets, located in the three states.
- Increased public awareness in our communities about ALS through educational talks by knowledgeable staff.
- Supporting ALS advocacy efforts.
- Informing patients and families about clinical trial opportunities.

- Volunteers for the Rochester Walk to Defeat ALS can choose to attend either in the morning or afternoon. We ask that all volunteers plan to stay for a minimum of 3 hours to ensure adequate support throughout the event.
