Fair Trade Mpls at 2023 Minnehaha Falls Art Fair
Art Fair in Minnehaha Falls Park in Minneapolis

Haiti needs help. Fair Trade Minneapolis brings metal wall art, Haiti Friends dolls, ceramic mugs, greeting cards, and garden stakes - from Papillon Marketplace in Haiti - to events in Minneapolis.

Fair Trade Minneapolis needs volunteers at Twin Cities Pride. We're often just my mother and me (see photo), so I'm reaching out to ask for your help.

More information: I've started Fair Trade Minneapolis, a 501c3 nonprofit. We encourage people to choose Fair Trade products - to pay farmers & artisans fairly, protect our environment with the Fair Trade Standards for sustainable agriculture and ensure that cocoa for Fair Trade chocolate has been farmed by adults.

At events, we sell Fair Trade artisan products made in Haiti by parents at Papillon Marketplace https://papillonmarketplace.com. In Haiti, Papillon Marketplace hires parents and pays them fairly for their work. Papillon Marketplace provides child care, preschool, elementary school, and job skills training for their children. They say that our orders for their products help.

To events, we also bring dozens of kinds of Fair Trade tea, and some Fair Trade chocolate - and give this away for free when time permits.

We need volunteers who can help us for about 3-1/4 hours each during Twin Cities Pride in Loring Park in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at our booth for Fair Trade Minneapolis - Saturday, June 29 from 9:45 am to 7 pm, and Sunday, June 30, from 9:45 am to 6 pm (with take down after that).

Thank you for helping us at our booth in Twin Cities Pride! We'll be at Booth #646, on the lake behind the Stonewall stage.
