  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Physiotherapy internship in Nepal program is an incredible opportunity which will help you appreciate the challenges faced in developing countries around medical care for those practising or aspiring to practice physiotherapy and medicine. As a physiotherapy intern, you will shadow registered physiotherapists and may participate in physio sessions for adults and children, depending on prior experience and skills.

Volunteer World Nepal offers physiotherapy internship in Nepal placements for all levels of experience, so whether you are an aspiring physiotherapist or a qualified professional we will be happy to provide you with placement and we will tailor your role based on your background. The majority of work will be observation-based (unless already qualified), which allows a great opportunity to gain valuable firsthand knowledge, giving your resume that extra advantage.

Physiotherapy Internship in Nepal Highlights:

  • You will observe physiotherapy sessions with professionals and physiotherapists that focus on showing members how to care for and assist children with special needs.
  • Learn more about overseas healthcare systems and various practices the clinic use
  • Gain valuable fist hand experience or pass on skills and practices from back home
  • Get more hands-on, depending on experience, and help children and adults during their physio sessions

Immerse yourself in this dynamic environment, collaborating closely with seasoned physiotherapy therapists. Gain invaluable insights as you observe their techniques and methods, while also actively participating in therapeutic interventions.

This immersive experience promises to not only broaden your understanding of physiotherapy but also provide practical skills and knowledge to further your professional journey. Seize this chance to embark on a transformative internship that blends observation with hands-on learning, shaping you into a well-rounded healthcare professional.

Special Education and Rehabilitation Center:

There is a centre that provides education and rehabilitation services to children with various disabilities. The centre also offers different types of physical therapies to help children with their specific needs. A schedule is in place to ensure that each child spends quality time in the physical therapy room as frequently as possible. Since each child has unique requirements, some are learning to walk, while others need regular massage to maintain their physical health. The centre needs extra assistance from interns to enable more children to access the physical therapy room and receive regular treatment.

Disabled Care Centre:

In this amazing and loving home, there are about 80 adult people and only one physical therapist. Your help is needed and you will work alongside the physiotherapy/physical therapist, learning and helping at the same time.
