The DaVinci Center is a multi-purpose community center whose mission is to deliver needed services to residents of all ages in the North End of Providence, Rhode Island. It is the mission of the DaVinci Center to improve the quality of life for the residents of the North End by providing, or helping to bring about, a broad array of quality services and neighborhood improvement projects that respond to the needs of the community.
As a Community Center Volunteer, you will support the organization in operations.
This is an in-person role with a variety of roles to be filled. Time commitment is flexible with the request of one shift per week. The Center is open from 8:30am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. Ability to speak Spanish and English in all roles is a plus.
Possible Roles:
1. Front Desk Support- greet visitors, answer phone, direct visitors to program or support.
2. Senior Meals Assistant-prepare, serve & clean up daily lunch offered to seniors and individuals with disabilities. Lunch available during your shift. Shift averages 2.5 hours, 10:30 am - 1 pm, Monday - Friday.

HUNGER FREE AMERICA (formerly known as the New York City Coalition Against Hunger) is a national nonprofit group building a nonpartisan, grass-roots membership movement to enact the policies and programs needed to end domestic hunger and ensure that all Americans have sufficient access to nutritious food.
Our long-term goal is not just to ameliorate the problem, but also to build the people’s movement necessary to enact the economic and public policies needed to end hunger entirely. Given that hunger drains our economy and tears at our moral and civic fabric, we know that eliminating it will boost the nation both economically and spiritually. Towards that end, we’ve adopted the motto: "Ending hunger lifts us all."
