Habitat NYC and Westchester is looking for experienced photographers for a momentous groundbreaking ceremony for our new affordable housing development in Brooklyn.

Take staged and candid photos of local elected officials and community leaders during the event. Post-editing capabilities required.

Date: Friday, May 31

Time: 9:45am-11:15am

Location: Halsey Street, Brooklyn

Applicants must:

  • Provide samples of their work (online portfolio, website, or social media account). We will reach out to schedule a quick call, so we can share additional details and answer any questions.
  • Edit and share photos within a timely manner. We request (5-10) top selects within 1-2 days, and the remaining photos within 1 week.
  • Have the ability to travel to the site.
  • Have your own professional equipment (please, no cell phones). Also, professional post-production ability.

Additional, event-specific details and shot list will be provided during pre-event briefing over the phone.

Description

Habitat for Humanity New York City and Westchester County creates, preserves, and advocates for healthy, affordable homes and the generational equity-building opportunities that homeownership provides. With the support of thousands of volunteers each year, we’re building a more equitable New York-to address centuries of unjust, racist housing laws and financing mechanisms that prevented communities of color from entering the homeownership market and shaped the geography of the wealth, health, and education inequality we see today.
