Volunteers United/AmeriCorps Seniors is a program of United Way that recruits volunteers for non-profit agencies in Martin County.

The mission of the organization where this opportunity is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Volunteers are need to attend provide guidance, support, and postivie role modeling to children and adolescents aged 6-18 years old. As a mentor, you play a crutial role in empowering young people to reach their full potential, develop essential life skills, and navigagte the challenges of growing up. Choose a location at any of 4 club sites throughout Martin County: Pal, City, Port Salerno, Hobe Sound, or Indiantown.

Requirements include: Talking and listening to your mentee. Lift up to 25 pounds, engage with the child and be able to stand, walk, use your arms and hands, climb, crawl, stoop, kneel and crouch or crawl.
