PetConnect Rescue (PCR) is an animal welfare organization dedicated to saving dogs and cats at high risk of euthanasia. Our compassionate volunteers and staff find loving homes for all the animals that come into our care and provide ongoing support throughout the adoption process and beyond.

Position Overview:

Are you passionate about connecting with others and fostering meaningful conversations online? Join our team as a Social Media Ambassador and play a vital role in spreading brand awareness and engaging our communities on Facebook and Instagram. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who can actively participate in our online discussions, provide valuable information to our followers, and promote our social media posts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Like and comment on PCR posts
• Share PCR posts, stories, and reels with personal followers and relevant FB groups
• Monitor comments and questions on PCR posts and provide timely and helpful responses to inquiries
• Initiate conversations and discussions in PCR-owned Facebook groups to foster a sense of community and connection

*Please note that all key responsibilities above are to be conducted from the social media ambassador’s personal Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of social media best practices and tools, particularly for Facebook and Instagram
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and empathetically
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with diverse audiences in a positive and inclusive manner
• Passion for our organization and mission, with a genuine interest in building relationships with our community members
• Reliable access to computer and internet
