Come volunteer on Friday, May 17th from 12:30 PM-3:00 PM at First State National Historical Park! Volunteers will help to construct and assemble picnic tables that will be utilized in the Smith Bridge Picnic Area. Assist in beautifying the picnic area and creating a more functional space before the summer season begins!


Volunteers will take any and all necessary precautions to preserve and protect all cultural and natural resources while participating in maintenance tasks. Volunteers must follow all safety protocols while performing the assigned tasks. When performing field duties, volunteers must use the proper tools and PPE that are in the volunteer bin located at 400 Ramsey Road, or supplies will be directly provided during the event.


This position is event based and will be scheduled as an event with no recurring positions. All volunteers should park in the grass along the u-shaped driveway of 400 Ramsey Road, Wilmington, DE 19803. Volunteers will be met by a staff member. Please wear close-toed shoes, long plants, and a long sleeve shirt, and bring water and snacks to last you the duration of the event.
