In December 2012, Satellite Housing and Affordable Housing Associates merged to create SAHA, an organization dedicated to providing quality, service-enriched affordable housing to East Bay residents.

BINGO Caller

Do you want to get involved with your community and help prevent social isolation through playing BINGO? Volunteer to call BINGO for seniors living at Linda Glen Affordable Housing Apartments in Piedmont! We are looking for a volunteer to call BINGO biweekly on Mondays for an hour between 1-3pm. As a volunteer, you will facilitate BINGO games, socialize with residents and then straighten up afterward. BINGO is a very popular activity that is also a great opportunity to build community and keep our residents active!

Requirements: Ongoing SAHA Community Volunteers must commit to volunteer once a week for a minimum of 4 months, and must complete a volunteer orientation, volunteer forms, and background screening prior to beginning their placement.

Description

The purpose of the SAHA's Volunteer Program is to improve the quality of living and promote health and well-being for Satellite Housing's residents. Volunteers will help foster community by facilitating activities for the residents, such as exercise groups, art classes, discussion groups, providing health and wellness information, leading or participating in games, assisting with special events, etc. The residents really appreciate the effort that is put forth by the volunteers, and look forward to the weekly interactions.
