The Campaign: We are on a mission to activate our community in preparation for getting the vote out in November 2024. Civics education is essential to ensuring every person across Monterey County is equipped with the tools to engage as active and engaged community members. Monterey County Votes 2024 aims to ensure that no one sits on the sidelines and exercises their civic power to create a more resilient future for Monterey County.
The Opportunity: Community Builders is seeking a creative campaign lead interested in social media content creation. You'll be working with our director of digital communications on creating campaign visual and written content for social media.
This position can be done 100% remotely and on evenings/weekends, but you will be expected to meet once a week to check in via Zoom and meet tasks as assigned and agreed upon. Prior experience is ideal but not necessary!

Description
Community Builders began in the summer of 2017 with the idea of making volunteering more accessible. Our website hosts a variety of needs from many dfferent causes from over 90 organizations across Monterey where people can search online to match their interests to a need or contact us directly.
Our volunteers manage much of our outreach through social media, newsletters and other digital communication. We are a hub that continually updates our knowlegde on local needs, issues and opportunties to best inform and engage community members to "do good." CBMC is specicially working with environmental groups, devleoping a program to reduce isolation through volunteerism and implenting a new outreach effort based on issues edcuation for social impact.
