Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) drives proven programs and innovations to eradicate the symptoms and underlying causes of poverty and ultimately poverty itself.

As a Mobile Food Pop Up Getter- East Boston Volunteer, (in partnership with Hunger Free America - AmeriCorps Senior 55+ Volunteer Program), you will assist ABCD Pop Up staff with the ABCD Mobile Food Pop Up.

This is an in-person role, averaging 4 hours once a month. Volunteers will be lifting supplies for setup, food station refills and loading vans with event supplies. As a Getter volunteer you will also assist clients as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:
-Assists in Mobile Food Pop Up Set Up
-Follow instructions from ABCD staff
-Assist clients as needed with lifting
-Work as team and have clear communication skills
-Restock bins
-Ability to work quickly and efficiently
-Assist with shutting down Pop Up

Skills and Qualification:
-Ability to stand & walk for long hours. Seats are available as needed
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
