Calling all community heroes!

Are you passionate about education and empowering the next generation? Do you believe in the power of volunteering to make a positive impact? If so, we need YOUR help!

Pittsburgh Area Community Schools is looking for dedicated volunteers to join our roster and support various needs within our school community. Whether you're a student, a parent, a professional, or a retiree, you can play a role in shaping the future of our students.

Here's how you can make a difference:

  1. Tutoring and Mentoring: Help students excel academically by providing one-on-one tutoring or mentoring sessions. Whether it's math, science, language arts, or any other subject, your guidance can make a world of difference.

  2. Event Support: Get involved in school events such as community days, fundraisers, field trips, or extracurricular activities. With your help, we can help create memorable experiences for students and families!

  3. Community Resources: Support our efforts to connect students and the community with necessary resources by helping with community closets, supply drives, food pantries, vaccine clinics, and other necessary services.

  4. Special Skills: Do you have a special skill or talent you'd like to share? Whether it's art, music, coding, gardening, or anything else, we welcome volunteers who can offer unique learning opportunities to our students.

No matter your background or experience level, there's a place for you on our volunteer team. Members are regularly sent volunteer opportunities, and you can choose which opportunities you want to support.

To become a volunteer at Logan Elementary School and/or East Allegheny Jr. Sr. High School, please submit your interest form. A staff member will contact you within 1-2 business days. You can also contact our Community Partnerships Manager, Julianna Sehy, at jsehy@pghareacs.org
