Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) drives proven programs and innovations to eradicate the symptoms and underlying causes of poverty and ultimately poverty itself.

As a Mobile Food Pop Up Greeter- East Boston Volunteer, (in partnership with Hunger Free America - AmeriCorps Senior 55+ Volunteer Program), you will assist ABCD food access team with client communication, sign in and direct clients in the collection process.

This is an in-person role, averaging 4 hours once a month.

Duties/Responsibilities:
-Assist staff with sign in process and verify client information prior to food collection
-Translation assistance as needed
-Assist with crowd monitoring and control during food collection
-Communicate with clients
-Follow instructions from staff
-Assist with shuttling down Pop Up

Skills & Qualifications:
-Secondary language skills preferred-Spanish, Haitian-Creole, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese
-Ability to verbally deescalate a conversation if needed
-Ability to stand/walk for long hours, seats available as needed
