In partnership, the City of Grand Junction has provided porta potties at six locations for use by our unhoused neighbors or anyone without access to a restroom. It is our responsibility to keep the surrounding areas clean and free of trash. We are looking for one time volunteers or weekly volunteers to help us accomplish clean up. Involves picking up trash and removing from site.

SOLIDARITY IN mutual aid is a voluntary reciprocal exchange of resources and services for mutual benefit. Mutual aid projects are a form of political participation in which people take responsibility for caring for one another and changing political conditions.
Description
Current projects needing volunteers:
Saturday Feed at Homeward Bound Resource Center - loading, unloading and distributing dry food pantry items, harm reduction distribution, cooks and servers for hot meal every 2nd Saturday, vehicles needed for transporting goods
Porta potties - partnership with the City of GJ - we need volunteers to maintain clean up at various porta potty sites
Our volunteer base consists of individuals, local groups, organizations, churches, businesses, schools, families and even those visiting from out of town for the Holidays. Before you complain, come volunteer.
SNC adheres to the following tenets:
