Help Make a Difference as a Volunteer Coordinator at Freddie Ford Family Foundation. Are you passionate about creating supportive environments for families touched by autism? Do you excel in organizing, leading, and inspiring others? If so, we need your skills and enthusiasm on our team! Position: Volunteer Coordinator (Remote with in person tasks managing volunteers on site at events). The Freddie Ford Family Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the lives of families dealing with autism through engaging social programs, empowering support groups, and an enriching Autism summer camp. Role Overview: As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission by: Recruiting Volunteers: Reach out to community members to find passionate individuals ready to make a difference. Training: Equip our volunteers with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in their roles.

Engagement: Ensure that our volunteers are motivated, supported, and appreciated throughout their time with us.

Supporting Events: Work alongside our president and founder to organize and implement social activities, parent support groups, and our special Autism summer camp.

What We're Looking For: A proactive, organized individual with strong communication skills.

Someone who is enthusiastic about mentoring and managing volunteers.

A team player who is comfortable working remotely and managing projects virtually and in-person.

Experience in volunteer coordination or event management is preferred, but not required. What We Offer: A flexible, volunteer position that you can perform from anywhere. Mission Statement

The mission of the Freddie Ford Family Foundation is to improve the quality of life in the St. Louis metropolitan area for under-served children and families impacted by autism by providing medical, educational, and social services to families in need as well as raise awareness and acceptance of autism.

Description

The Freddie Ford Family Foundation foundation supports under served families impacted by autism and are working diligently to raise awareness and acceptance of autism. Our programs support families and help educate families and the public on autism. The Freddie Ford Family Foundation has hosted a series of webinars regarding autism and the various therapies for families. We have donated sensory boxes for families during Covid 19 to support autistic children. We have adopted families for Christmas. We have donated Easter baskets. We have an annual event, Heroes for Autism 5K and 1 mile race. Finally, we are hosting our summer camp for autism this July 2021. We want to help autistic learn sports and enjoy camp for a fun summer experience.

Our future programs include social skills, employment skills and readiness, college preparation and transition, parent support, and transition program out of high school.
