Position: Assistant Executive Director

Location: Hybrid/Remote

Organization: Harper Phoenix Interfaith Inc. (HPII)

HPII is seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Executive Director to join our team and lead the organization into its next phase of growth and impact. The ideal candidate will help steer HPII in alignment with its core mission and values, reporting to the board of directors with integrity and transparency.

Responsibilities:

Leadership: Design and implement strategies to improve the lives of individuals and families in underserved communities, advocating for systemic changes and fostering relationships within the community and beyond.

Fiscal Development & Management: Collaborate with the Board’s Executive Committee to develop, monitor, and manage the annual budget, ensuring fiscal sustainability and alignment with organizational goals.

Administration and Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including human resources, IT, administration, budgeting, and finance, while providing effective leadership to the management team and staff.

Board Relations: Engage and support the board of directors in their oversight role, facilitating effective communication and informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

At least two years of experience in high-level management within a nonprofit organization, with a focus on community development or social services

Clear understanding and commitment to community empowerment and sustainable impact

Experience in budgeting, staff management, and partnership development.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

What We Offer:

Performance-Based Salary: While this is initially a volunteer opportunity, we believe in rewarding dedication and results. Within the first 6-12 months, a salary will be offered based on performance.
