Be a Special Friend: Brighten a Senior's Day!

Are you passionate about making a difference in someone's life?

Lyngblomsten's Special Friend program is searching for caring individuals like you!

As a Special Friend, you'll be matched with a wonderful senior resident (average age is 87!) for weekly visits.

Here's how you can make a positive impact:

• Friendly conversation: Share stories, laugh together, and build a special bond.
• Embrace shared interests: Play games, enjoy walks (weather permitting), or explore creative hobbies together.
• Social outings: Escort your friend to our on-site cafe for a change of scenery and delicious treats.
• Helping hands: Assist with light tasks like organizing their room, bringing them books, or writing letters.

What you'll gain:

• The rewarding experience of making a real difference in someone's life.
• The opportunity to build a meaningful friendship with a senior.
• Flexible hours - you'll typically spend 1 hour per week with your friend.
