The Red Rock Ranger District is in need of volunteers (couples preferred) for site host duties, August 1 st - October 31 st , 2024, at Palatki Heritage site. This is not a campground; visitors access the heritage site for its significant cultural and archaeological value. Hosts will only be on duty for six hours per workday.
Volunteers would make a three or six month commitment to live onsite in an RV or Camper, alongside two other co-hosts, and work four days a week. The Heritage site has full RV hookups, full kitchen, washer/dryer, and shower for site host use. This opportunity includes a daily reimbursement of $20 per day per person for days worked.
Site host duties include, welcoming visitors, archaeological site interpretation, gift shop operations, and maintaining/cleaning visitor center and grounds. Site hosts will receive training on heritage site management and interpretive techniques by Forest Service and Friends of the Forest Sedona personnel.
