Mentor-Mentee Science

We are looking for someone to edit and create a promotional video for a mentoring youth program. Thriving Elements connects ambitious high school students with STEM professionals. Our main focus is on developing long-term relationships through a set curriculum. We have videos of some of the mentees talking, and now we need someone with amazing editing skills and video-taking skills who can put together a complete video showcasing what Thriving Elements stands for. The only videos you would need to take yourself could be one of the suggested:

  • Doors opening
  • Someone grabbing books
  • A pan of a school
  • A pan of some STEM-related building, such as Microsoft
  • Whatever else would fit the vibe!

Please sign up if you think you can do this! You would be helping the scientists of tomorrow, find their passions.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to create access and opportunities for underrepresented girls in STEM through mentoring

Description

Thriving Elements is a high quality 1 on 1 mentoring program whose mission is to create access and opportunities for underprivileged girls in Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM). Our vision is to develop & empower young women leaders in STEM to make a sustainable impact in their communities and inspire the next generation of women leaders. This is achieved by creating a sustainable and structured mentoring program. The goal is not to replicate any other existing STEM programs such as tutoring, computer programming, robotics, chemistry labs or SAT/ACT prep. Rather Thriving Elements creates a network of partners via individuals, non-profit organizations, and businesses which mentors are trained to create access to these partners for their mentees.
