Thriving Elements is looking for dedicated Grant Application Specialists to help us secure critical funding so we can continue empowering underrepresented young women in STEM through mentorship. This is a meaningful opportunity to strengthen your grant research and writing skills while making a real impact. As a Grant Application Specialist, you will (what you can explore but not limited to): Research and identify grant opportunities from public and private sources that align with ThrivingElments' mission. Maintain and update an ongoing list of potential grants. Prepare and write compalling proposals and grant applications. Draft required reports for funders, foundations, or government agencies. Maintain and implement funding calendar activities, including cultivation and submission timelines. If needed, coordinate with other grant volunteers or consultants to support proposal development. Build relationships with funding organizations and program officers as appropriate. What we're looking for: Strong research writing, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage your own flexible volunteer schedule. Previous experience with grant research and writing is a plus, but not required -- this is a greatrole to develop these skills. Comfort using basic software tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive). Location: Remote (with occasional in-person meetings) Time Commitment: 10 hours/month Term Length: 1-2 years (renewable) About Thriving Elements: Thriving Elements is a nonprofit organization committed to creating access and opportunities for underserved, underrepresented girls in STEM through mentoring. We aim to develop and empower the next generation of diverse leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Board Member with a Fundraising Focus who aligns with our mission and is committed to increasing support for our programs. This role is ideal for someone who wants to use their professional expertise and network to help close the equity gap in STEM education. Key Responsibilities: Support the organization’s mission by contributing to strategic decisions as an active voting board member. Provide leadership and guidance on fundraising strategy, including donor engagement, campaign planning, and event fundraising. Identify and cultivate new funding sources, including individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and grant opportunities. Assist in planning and executing fundraising events or campaigns. Leverage your network to expand awareness and financial support for Thriving Elements. Collaborate with other board members, volunteers, and staff to ensure the financial sustainability of the organization. Participate in regular board meetings bi monthly meetings and fundraising committee meetings (as needed). Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in fundraising, development, donor relations, or nonprofit finance. A strong personal and/or professional commitment to advancing equity in STEM. Experience working with or advocating for underserved and underrepresented communities. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. This is a great opportunity to use your design and content creation skills to make a real impact while growing your portfolio As a Marketing & Social Media Specialist, you will (what you can explore but not limited to): Design engaging content for our social media channels (mainly Instagram), including posts, stories, and reels. Create eye-catching fliers, graphics, and digital materials to promote events, recruitment, and fundraising campaigns. Collaborate with other volunteers to brainstorm content ideas and maintain a consistent posting schedule. Help ensure our visual branding is consistent, inspiring, and inclusive. What we're looking for: Strong design skills and creativity; experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools is a plus. Familiaritywith Instagram and other social media best practices. Ability to work independently and manage your own flexible volunteer schedule. Insterest in supporting an education-focused non-profit and telling stories that inspire.
