Like to sew? We need people to make activity blankets, fidget blanks, sensory blankets, rice filled weighted bags, crochet hearts, make teddy bears out of a loved one's favorite shirt, make blankets with color etc. Hospice patients are always in need of these things.

I would work with you to ask for items from JoAnn Fabrics, Home Depot, Lowe's, RestoreHabitat, Goodwill, etc for their returned or slightly irregular items that can be included in the fidget blankets.

Becoming a volunteer for hospice means you will be vetted just like our staff. Everyone does finger printing, drug screen and TB testing. This assures our patients and their families that we are all trustworthy people who give of our time from a generous heart.

If you are interested in helping us, please contact me. Each new volunteer rocks my world and increases my hope for the future! We all do care about each other, often we just don't have the avenue to show that.
