Internal Communications Manager

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Internal Communications Manager with our team.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Community Outreach Director the Internal Communications Manager supports communication, governance, and projects within the Random Acts organization. Managing

a team of communications, engagement, compliance, and project coordinators, the Internal Communications Manager will be the lead on communication within the organization including the organization newsletter, project support, staff engagement, audits, and standard operating procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and manage programs and procedures to improve internal communication throughout the organization.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to ensure that internal communication among all departments is strong.
  • Manage the Internal Communications team.
  • Ensure the creation and delivery of a regular staff newsletter.
  • Maintain an overview of organizational projects, supporting the projects team as required.
  • Lead delivery of the annual staff survey and support outcomes with the leadership team.
  • Plan and deliver the All Staff Summit each year.
  • Support the team undertaking audits of processes and procedures within Random Acts.
  • Hold oversight of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the organization and enable the team to support their development for each team as required.
  • To lead and attend regular staff and team meetings.
  • Any other projects or duties as requested by the Community Outreach Director.
  • Compile and provide routine and ad hoc reports on team or project progress.

  • Experience managing projects
  • Able to engage with people from a wide range of lived experiences
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Windows and Google environments
  • Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people
  • Ability to lead people effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Prefer 2 - 4 years of experience in management in a corporate or nonprofit setting.

This role requires remote working. Applicants must have regular and reliable access to the internet, as well as the motivation to dedicate their time to the organization.

The role is anticipated to take between 5-10 hours per week.
