ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

LONG offers community events throughout the year, including the Summer Arts Festival, Winter Workshop Series, Holiday Open House, Longfellow Birthday, and more. All events are free and open to the public. The Event Support VIPs will be key members of the events team, engaging the public, providing logistical and physical support, and contributing to the successful growth of LONG's community offerings.


The site is currently accepting applications for volunteers to assist with Summer Festival events, which occur Sundays at 3pm from June 2-September 1. The Volunteer shift will be from 2p-5p. In addition to p roviding wayfinding at the site and respond to visitor questions during events, volunteers will a ssist NPS staff with set up and take down of events, including using wheeled carts to transport folding chairs, stage panels, sound equipment, tables, tents, signage, lawn games, art in the garden supplies, promotional materials, water, decor, and other materials as directed by NPS staff, and staging all in designated areas of the lawn as directed.
