The Donovan's Venom is looking for an Event Planner to join our growing team!

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Event Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute events from start to finish, including venue selection, budget management, vendor coordination, and on-site event management. Ensure all aspects of the event run smoothly and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Event Design and Theming: Develop event themes, concepts, and designs that align with the organization's brand and objectives. Coordinate with vendors to create visually appealing and engaging event spaces.
  • Logistics Management: Manage event logistics, including transportation, accommodations, catering, audiovisual equipment, and signage. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure all logistical details are handled effectively.
  • Budget Management: Develop event budgets and track expenses throughout the planning process. Negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop event marketing strategies and promotional materials. Leverage various channels, including social media, email marketing, and traditional advertising, to generate buzz and drive attendance.
  • Attendee Management: Coordinate attendee registration, ticketing, and communication. Provide exceptional customer service to attendees, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations to assess event success and identify areas for improvement. Gather feedback from attendees, sponsors, and stakeholders to inform future event planning efforts.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in event planning and coordination, preferably in a nonprofit or community organization.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and design.
  • Proficiency in event planning software and tools, such as event management platforms and budgeting software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate event schedules.

We strive to make fine art readily available to anyone who wishes to experience it, even when unable to do so financially. The Donovan's Venom, INC. 501(c)(3) produces annual benefit concerts, shows, and performances. These experiences are open for all community members. The Donovan's Venom, INC. 501(c)(3) exercises: artistic, comedic, and musical channels to bring soothing to children hospitals, hospices, shelters for the homeless, nursing homes, and various other entities full of people in need of assuagement. The Donovan's Venom, INC. 501(c)(3) has partnered with The Donovan's Piano Room to host weekly online lessons to students who wish to learn music, music theory, sight-reading, and musical techniques, even when they can't afford to do so.

The Donovan's Venom INC. Gives its resources to individuals who don't have the means or access.
