The Social Media Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for developing, planning, implementing, managing and monitoring the organization's Social Media strategy in order to increase our online presence and improve our marketing efforts. You will be working closely with the Social Media Chair and Marketing board members.

Responsible to: Board of Directors (Chair)

Responsibilities:

*Develop a marketing strategy for social media
*Develop content to increase community engagement online
*Create a brand persona through the organization’s online channels
*Utilize the social channels most relevant to the brand on a daily basis
*Respond to community queries through social networks
*Work with relevant influencers or complementary organizations to grow the organization’s social following organically
*Work together with the marketing department and graphic designers to create compelling content for publication or campaigns
*Attend educational conferences
*Actively Volunteer
*Commitment to Machiah's House and our vision and mission

Skills:
Knowledge of Machiah's House (Mission, Vision, & Core Values)

*Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices
*Define most important social media KPIs
*Ensure content is informative and appealing
*Manage and oversee social media content
*Measure the success of every social media campaign
*Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies
*Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
*Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
*Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
*Familiarity with web design and publishing
*Excellent multitasking skills
*Great leadership skills
*Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
*Team player
*Good time-management skills
*Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skills

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week.
