Join the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and the Walpack Historical Society on Saturday, June 1st for National Trails Day! We will be cleaning up the Military Trail, a historic former road used by soldiers during the French and Indian War and American Revolution. This trail is one mile in, one mile back, has an easy-moderate rating and a total elevation gain of 226 feet. The cleanup will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, beginning at Walpack Center on Route 615. Light paperwork will be filled out the day of the event. Expect to lift objects, clear brush, and remove trash. Dress properly for outdoor work with closed-toe shoes, long sleeves, and long pants. Stick around after the event to learn some history about the trail and receive a tour of historic buildings off of the trail! All ages are welcome!

Walpack Center is located off of Route 615. Service can be spotty while, so make sure you have directions saved or written down. For specific directions, please email Madison at mdegerolamo@nps.gov.
