We are Mentor's R Us Inc., a dedicated organization committed to empowering individuals to inspire and model sustainable life skills through the engagement of hands-on experiences. We are currently seeking talented and motivated individuals to join us.

We are excited to offer a volunteer position for Content Creator as we make accommodations for life skill courses, intake appointments, and provide affordable housing for individuals who have been displaced due to high priced housing.

Mentor’s R Us Incorporated’s Mission is to inspire and model through the engagement in hands-on experiences for youth and adults. Our Vision is Inspiration + Employment = changed lives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Examine and understand our Nonprofit organization
  • Create explainer videos, classes, workshops, etc.
  • Use cost efficient methods to reach the most views
  • Research industry-related topics
  • Prepare well-structured drafts using digital publishing platforms
  • Edit and proofread written pieces before publication
  • Conduct keyword research and use SEO guidelines to optimize content
  • Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g. comments and shares)
  • Measure web traffic to content (e.g. conversion and bounce rates)
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience as a Content Creator, Copywriter or similar role
  • Portfolio of published articles or content
  • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • An ability to fact-check long-form content pieces
  • Time-management skills
  • Familiarity with SEO

Description

MRU acknowledges that Inspiration can unlock the keys to hidden potential in youth and adults. Our Programs match real world experiences with dreams that seem unattainable.

This program promises to improve relationships, self-esteem, social & life skills, emotional stability, morals, health and spiritual awareness. Mentor's and Mentees meet in teams for extra support. Activities are pre-arranged by topic to create the most beneficial environment for the youth and the Mentor.

MRU's Independent Living Program: Mentor's & Mentee's will share living quarters as MRU's philosophy expand to the home base. Mentee's will transition through the program in approximately three years until they gain their own independence into society.
