The Happy Camp/Oak Knoll Ranger District is seeking a volunteer to serve as a Campground Host for the 2024 summer season. The Host serves as the primary point of contact for campground visitors while maintaining a professional, courteous, and helpful disposition. Host must adhere to Forest Service regulations and policies.
Duties include: greet visitors and provide information, manage arrival reports and assist with campsite registration, monitor site use, clean and stock restrooms, light facility maintenance (raking sites, cleaning fire rings, etc.), keep campground free of trash, timely submittal of administrative documents, and regular communication with recreation staff.
Host is generally expected to be in service 5 days a week and may be called upon when needed. High use dates and weekend coverage will be prioritized.
Host must provide their own RV or camp trailer and is responsible for propane and wi-fi. A gravel trailer space with water/sewer, trash service, electricity, and subsistence will be provided.
