Volunteer Meal Service Helper for Denver Ronald McDonald House

Help with dinner service for families staying at the Denver Ronald McDonald House while their children receive treatment at a local medical facility. We are seeking individuals to assist our Culinary Manager with the buffet meal service, setup, and cleanup from 5:30-7:30pm as needed. Interested volunteers will be added to an on-call list to be contacted within two weeks of needing meal help.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help with dinner buffet setup (typical service feeds 50 people)
- Monitor and replenish buffet as needed
- Assist guest families as needed
- Hand wash pots, pans, and cooking utensils and help load dishwashers
- Clean kitchen counters and dining tables after service
- Help package leftovers
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with health and safety kitchen standards
- Great teamwork skills
- Willingness to help where needed
- Warm and welcoming demeanor
- Flexible schedule (available from 5:30-7:30pm)
Please note: RMHC-Denver cannot provide court-ordered community service hours.

These programs provide a bridge to accessible health care and allow families more time together, which helps in the healing process. RMHC and its global network of local Chapters also have hundreds of millions of dollars in grants and program services to children's programs around the world.
Please note: We have two locations under RMHC-Denver, the Denver House and the Aurora House. Both houses have the same volunteer opportunities! RMHC-Denver does not accept volunteers looking to fulfill court ordered community service requirements and will not validate court sanctioned service hours.
