Please visit the new page to apply.
Join us on Sunday, May 19th to maintain trails in the unique landscape of Joshua Tree National Park! Volunteers will perform trail delineation on a popular park trail in the heart of the park by clearing brush from the trail and laying rocks along the path. This work will help preserve native habitat and protect visitors by making trails easier to follow.
Training and supervision will be provided by a project leader. Each project involves physical labor including hiking, lifting, and repeated bending. Volunteers must be able to safely lift 10 pounds repeatedly, must be able to safely hike 3 miles, and must be able to safely use hand tools like saws and clippers. No lodging or camping is available.
Project will begin promptly at 8 am and end at approximately 12 pm on Sunday, 5/19.
