ORGANIZATION: The KLM Foundation

The KLM Foundation is seeking volunteer members for its Board. Board members play a crucial role in the corporate governance of the foundation including guiding strategic decisions, fostering accountability, and shaping the foundation's destiny. As a Member, you're expected to volunteer time and efforts to support the foundation's mission. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • preparing for, attending, and conscientiously participating in, at least, 4 board meetings per year
  • participating in committees and taskforces, where applicable
  • collaborating and communicating with fellow board members to ensure the mission is accomplished
  • understanding the foundation's mission, purpose, policies, programs, and needs
  • serving as an active advocate and ambassador for the foundation in the community
  • participating in annual communty service projects and/or iniatives
  • maintaining confidentiality about all internal matters of the foundation
  • participating in annual fundraising and giving for the foundation

Candidates must:

  1. be at least 18 years of age
  2. possess a college degree and real-life experiences which are beneficial to the communities in which the foundation commits
  3. be devoted to community service and philanthropy
  4. be willing to commit to a minimum of 1-2 hours of service per month
  5. attend 4 Board meetings per year
  6. attend/chair designated Committees and committee meetings

All candidates meeting the requirements are considered. However, preference is given to those with experience in accounting and writing (such as grant writing).
