About the Position:
As a Volunteer IT/Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the digital infrastructure of Awaken Pittsburgh remains secure and operational. You will collaborate with our team to implement and maintain IT systems, safeguard sensitive information, and mitigate cybersecurity risks. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to apply their technical expertise to support a meaningful cause.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing and addressing IT needs to support the organization's mission
- Implementing security measures to protect sensitive data and digital assets
- Monitoring network activity for potential security breaches and intrusions
- Developing and implementing IT policies and procedures
- Providing technical support to staff and volunteers as needed
- Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot IT issues and optimize system performance
- Providing 3-5 hours per week of volunteer time.

- Proficiency in IT systems administration and cybersecurity practices
- Experience with network security protocols and tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
