Internship Overview: We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Chapter Development Intern. As a skilled volunteer, you will play a crucial role in expanding our mission and creating awareness about our initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause and make a positive impact on communities striving for education and personal growth.


Key Responsibilities:

Chapter Coordination

  • Coordinate and support new and already established chapters on college campuses.
  • Develop and execute fundraising initiatives tailored to engage college communities.
  • Cultivate relationships with students, faculty, and local organizations to expand chapter reach.
  • Provide guidance and resources to empower chapter leaders in organizing events and campaigns.
  • Monitor and evaluate the success of fundraising activities, providing regular reports and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the organization's leadership to align chapter efforts with overall goals and objectives.

Online Mentorship

  • Actively engage in virtual mentorship, fostering a supportive online relationship with student(s) abroad by providing guidance on extracurricular educational pursuits, including assistance with homework, reading, and exploring enjoyable study topics.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for education and community development
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Experience in fundraising or event planning is a plus
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master's program
  • Willingness to serve as a mentor to one of our mentees, fostering a supportive and encouraging relationship that contributes to the mentee's personal and academic growth.

Our mission is to instill a generational difference among villages around the world by bringing hope through books. We have village libraries all over the world including in Peru, Nepal, Belize, Ghana, and more. You can work with us internationally by working in one of our libraries, or you can work with us domestically by helping coordinate new library opportunities.
