All youth should have the support needed to be defined by their potential, not their circumstances. Our board is responsible for providing opportunities for them to learn from and grow. This is done through our Youth In Action meetings, which normally meet twice a month on Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. It is a plus if a board member has an idea for a speaker or learning activity to bring to the youth group meeting. We do fundraising activities throughout the year. Ideas are always a plus. We require attendance at the events if possible. Ideas for grants or donor ideas a plus.

We must have an auto-biography; and a criminal background check.

Mission Statement

Empowering the next generation for a better tomorrow.

Description

Founded in 2013, we received our 501c3 status on July 11, 2014. Understanding our youth is often a silent voice that is not heard; we founded a youth advisory board. Bringing youth 8-16 years of age together, we listened to what they said were issues that impact their lives. We heard the word bully, then came self-harm, poor school performance, and living in poverty. Through our program, kids have a place to fit in. They can speak about what is happening, and we listen and help them find solutions to what they need They learn life and social skills. They graduate high school. They have a future. Children will be safer, families will be stronger, and our community will be a safe place for children to live.
