Mission Statement

Alliance for Positive Change’s mission is to help New Yorkers make lasting, positive changes towards health, housing, recovery, and self-sufficiency as they navigate life with HIV and other chronic conditions.

Description

Alliance for Positive Change is a leading multiservice organization that provides low-income New Yorkers living with HIV and other chronic conditions with access to quality health care, housing, harm reduction, coaching, peer services, and more. We annually serve 5,000+ low-income New Yorkers.

Alliance is a women-led organization that primarily serves New York City’s Black, Hispanic/Latinx, LGBTQ+, and HIV-positive communities, as well as people who use drugs and people in recovery. We prioritize peer-delivered services-the people who inspire and power our programs reflect, understand, and care deeply about the diverse communities we serve.

Alliance opened in 1991, at the height of the HIV crisis-a welcoming community of transformation and opportunity. Today, we deliver on the promise of positive change with services and resources that equip people to navigate systemic inequities and achieve health and well-being.
