Skills and Background

• Experience Designing Individual and/or Corporate Donor Giving Programs
• Experience with donor relations

• Orientation to the organization and programs
• Orientation provided on fundraising strategies
• Supported by Fundraising Committee and Community Engagement Specialist
• Ongoing collaboration with FNVW staff and other volunteers

Time Commitment

• 2-6 hours a month, 2 committee meetings per month, may attend by Zoom, morning of the second and fourth Tuesday
• potential for work in between meetings.
• 1 year commitment
• Flexible work location - can either work remotely or from the FNVW office.

Organizational Summary

Friends for a NonViolent World (FNVW) seeks a world free from violence and the threat of violence. FNVW works to promote and create peace and justice in our community by using the principles and practices of nonviolence to transform conflict and to address the root causes of violence. Our Alternatives to Violence Project for Youth provides young people with the skills and strengths to manage conflict in a positive way and helps vulnerable youth understand the role and effects of violence in their lives.

FNVW is a Quaker-inspired organization that welcomes volunteers from all faith practices as well as volunteers with no religious orientation.
