Description

StandOUT Youth Mentoring Program is a dynamic and community-driven nonprofit organization founded by Andrea Gonzales. Our mission is to shift the trajectory of youth lives, empowering them to become standout individuals and strong decision-makers through weekly mentoring, skill development, and providing a supportive community.

Program Overview: Our program operates out of the MI3 Center, a renowned recreational center for youth in North Houston. We hold our mentoring sessions every Tuesday, offering a well-rounded experience that includes 40 minutes of one-on-one mentoring, 40 minutes of recreational activities or workshops, and 40 minutes of a group mealtime where meaningful discussions take place.

Mentors: We welcome mentors who are 16 years or older to join us in making a difference in the lives of young individuals in our community. Individuals between the ages of 16 and 22 will be considered peer mentors, gaining valuable volunteer or internship hours while contributing to our mission.
