Job Opportunity: Volunteer Grantwriter at Arts In CT

Arts In CT, a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to bringing and strengthening our community through the arts, is seeking a passionate volunteer Grantwriter or someone willing to be trained for our cause. Looking for someone to assist us in securing grants for our various programs. As an organization that provides afterschool arts programs to schools without sufficient funding, we are in need of additional financial support to collaborate with low-income schools and provide arts programs and after-school meals to children who would otherwise go hungry.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the team to identify potential grant opportunities and funding sources that align with our mission and goals.

- Research and gather relevant information for grant applications, including program details, budgets, and supporting documents.

- Write compelling grant proposals and ensure all required information is included accurately and effectively.

- Coordinate with the team to review and revise grant applications before submission.

- Keep track of submission deadlines and ensure timely submission of grant proposals.

- Maintain effective communication with funding organizations to answer any questions or provide additional information as needed.

- Stay updated on grant writing best practices and trends in the nonprofit sector.

Requirements:

- Candidates with experience in grant writing and a passion for the arts and arts integration are preferred. However, we are also open to training and assisting individuals who are enthusiastic to learn and contribute to our cause.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

- Ability to conduct thorough research and gather relevant information from various sources.

- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

- Self-motivated and reliable, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Familiarity with nonprofit organizations and grant application processes is a plus.

To Apply:

If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity and believe in the power of the arts to impact communities, please email your cover letter and explain how you can contribute to our grant writing efforts at info@artsinct.org. We kindly request that applicants visit our website at artsinct.org to learn more about our organization before submitting their cover letter.

At Arts In CT, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds and experiences.
