Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced social media manager to join our nonprofit organization's management team. As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our organization's social media strategy and managing and growing our online presence. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by utilizing your expertise in social media marketing to support our mission and engage with our diverse audience.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive website traffic, and promote our programs and initiatives.
  • Manage all social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube, ensuring consistent messaging and visual branding.
  • Generate creative and engaging content that aligns with our brand and resonates with our target audience, including posts, videos, graphics, and stories.
  • Monitor social media trends, industry best practices, and platform algorithm changes, and adapt strategies accordingly to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Plan and manage social media advertising campaigns to effectively target and reach specific audiences, optimizing campaign performance through data analysis.
  • Engage with our community through social media platforms by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Utilize social media analytics tools to track and report on key performance metrics, such as engagement, reach, impressions, and conversions, and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in social media management for nonprofit organizations, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in the sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of social media platforms and their respective best practices, algorithms, and advertising capabilities.
  • Proficiency in content creation and design tools, such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging copy.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights to optimize social media performance.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
