Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fundraiser to join our team. As a Fundraiser, you will play a crucial role in securing financial support for our organization and helping us achieve our mission of creating positive outcomes for those facing a cancer diagnosis. The ideal candidate is passionate about making a difference and has a strong aptitude for networking and building relationships.

In this role, you will develop and implement fundraising strategies to generate revenue from various sources, including individual donors, corporate sponsors, and grant funding. You will collaborate closely with the executive team to identify funding needs and develop tailored fundraising proposals. Additionally, you will represent our organization at community events, conferences, and meetings to promote our cause and expand our network of potential donors.

As a Fundraiser, you should have excellent communication and persuasion skills and a strong understanding of fundraising principles and techniques. An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to think creatively to identify new funding opportunities are also essential. This role requires a high level of organization and attention to detail, as you will be responsible for managing donor databases, tracking fundraising activities, and preparing reports.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies to meet revenue targets
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential individual and corporate donors
  • Write compelling fundraising proposals and grant applications
  • Conduct research to identify new funding sources and stay up-to-date with industry trends
  • Represent the organization at community events, conferences, and meetings
  • Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and fundraising activities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on fundraising initiatives
  • Develop and manage donor databases and tracking systems
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising activities
  • Stay informed about the organization's mission, programs, and impact to communicate with potential donors effectively
  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop fundraising materials and promotional campaigns
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising or a related role
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting fundraising targets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong relationship-building and networking abilities
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and techniques
  • Proficiency in donor management systems and fundraising software
  • A proactive and results-driven mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
