Join a Senior for Walks in Castro District

As we age, it's important to keep our bodies moving to stay healthy. A senior neighbor, S, knows this and challenges herself to 30- to 45-minute walks in her Castro/ Eureka Valley neighborhood!
S lives at Eureka and 19th Street. We're looking for a volunteer or two to meet S once a week for a walk through the neighborhood. She needs some physical support, such as guiding her walker around large cracks in the sidewalk and holding her waist as she goes downhill. This would be a great opportunity for a strong resident of the Castro/ Eureka Valley neighborhood.
She runs a film festival every year and is a delight to talk to! This is a great way to get to know a neighbor while getting your daily steps in.
The timing of this is flexible; S has an open schedule and is happy to work around your availability.
Contact Camille if you enjoy walking and helping senior neighbors. Make a difference in your community!
