Event Planning Support for Our Nonprofit Fundraiser Party (June 6)
Eco-School Network is a mighty crew of kids, parents, and teachers greening up Oregon schools with gardens, waste reduction, safer walking/biking routes, and student-led climate action. But we need fuel to keep this going. Our fuel? Funding!

We’re hosting a fabulous fundraiser for 150 loyal supporters and donors on June 6, and we need your help to pull it off with flair. We’re a fun, grateful bunch-and here are some different ways you could plug in to lend a hand.

Pick Your Role (or Propose One!):

1. Procurement Pro
You know people, or you’re not afraid to cold-call them! Help us snag 5 amazing auction packages, like getaways to Oregon/Washington vacation homes, resorts, or hotels. We’ve got a list to start with-or go with your own ideas.

2. Marketing Maestro
Help us whip up a marketing plan that turns heads and fills seats. Help design a fabulous invitation, sprinkle in some social media stardust, and make this event irresistable!

3. Sponsorship Scout
Got a knack for schmoozing? Help prep sponsorship packages, coordinate outreach to past supporters, and scout for new ones. Keep track of commitments and ensure sponsors feel the love.

4. AV Ace
Slideshows, videos, music, and speakers-if you’re the person who makes tech happen seamlessly, we need you!

5. Volunteer Wrangler
We’ll find the volunteers-you make them feel organized, supported, and appreciated. A smooth event starts with happy helpers.

5. Silent Auction/Raffle Manager
Organize and oversee auction/raffle items, keep the bidding exciting, and ensure winners get their fabulous prizes.

7. Logistics Guru
Be the mastermind behind event operations, from set-up to break-down. Keep everything running like clockwork so our guests only notice the fun (not the behind-the-scenes chaos).

8. Food & Drink Hero
Whether it’s donating food, finding a caterer, whipping up a dish, or deciding on plates and napkins, your culinary contributions will help set the tone for the night. Yes, our venue allows outside food.

9. Bartender/Server Extraordinaire
Mix drinks, serve up tasty bites, keep things tidy, and interact with guests to make them feel at home. Bonus points if you can juggle trays!

10. Day-of Dynamo
On the big day, oversee vendors, troubleshoot issues, and keep the event humming along. Calm under pressure? You’re our hero.

Got Your Own Idea?
If you’ve got a passion for another part of event planning, pitch it to us!

About ECO-SCHOOL NETWORK

Location:

3803 N MASSACHUSETTS AVE, PORTLAND, OR 97227, US

Mission Statement

The Eco-School Network equips parents and students to lead their elementary schools in Oregon toward sustainability.

Description

The Eco-School Network inspires hope and change among students and their school communities in Northwest Oregon. We prepare and support parents and teachers who lead a school sustainability project they care about. For example, students sort their lunch waste into recyclables and compostables, they walk and bike to school in groups, and they eat veggies they grow at school. These projects create opportunities for children to learn and practice sustainability on a daily basis at school while shaping healthy school environments. In addition to shrinking schools’ environmental footprints, these initiatives enhance learning, improve student health and fitness, build leadership capacity, and create positive ripple effects for families and communities.
