Our company is called Friendly Connections, we are a non-profit subcontractor of the state. We help adults with disabilities with a number of daily activities. We have patients and workers in all 21 counties of NJ. Please read the job descriptions below and contact us to learn more about any open opportunities closest to you.

Position Offered :

Leonia, 4 hours/week, exact time to be determined.
Looking for a DSP that is patient and understanding. Our friend needs to be taken to the community to hang out. DSP must own a vehicle.

Bergenfield, Sat + Sun, 6 hours/week, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
We are in need of an experienced DSP who is comfortable assisting with ADL and personal care. DSP needs to own a vehicle.

Hillsdale, Saturday: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM OR Sunday 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
We are looking for a DSP who likes to follow a routine and can make a calendar of activities for a whole month. Experienced DSP needed as individual requires full care and physical assistance. Our friend likes to go to dances, to the park, movies, and bowling! :)

- Montvale, 4 hours/week, schedule is open

- Bergenfield, Sundays from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

- Bergenfield, Saturdays from 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Direct Support Professionals (DSP)

-Direct Support Professionals go into individuals homes to provide care and help with daily living activities.

$18 an hour

Training required and provided.

Job Coaching

-Job coaches help individuals with disabilities find a job and or work on the job-site.

$20 an hour

Training is required and provided.

Acuity Cases

-Job responsibilities are similar to Direct Support Professionals, they provide more hands-on care with the individual whether it is medical or behavioral. Acuity cases require more experience in the field.

$20 an hour

Training is required and provided.

All Requirements:

- Must love working with and helping people

- Must have at least 1 - 2 years of experience helping people with special abilities

- Must be over 21 years of age or older

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance in the state of NJ with your own reliable vehicle

- Driving record with 4 points or less

- Flexible schedule

- Employee must comply with state regulations as necessary

- Employee must cooperate with state regulations and NJ Department staff in any inspection or investigation

- Pass state and federal background checks

- First Aid and CPR certification (We can help you get this certification).

-All provided training must be completed before working with a client.

-All positions are in-person.
