Volunteers touch the lives of our patients and their families. Whether reading to a patient, preparing a meal for a family or cleaning up around the house, each gesture makes a meaningful impact on those we serve.
We are growing our team of volunteers all over the Valley and would love to have you as part of our team! We provide training and ongoing support and appreciate any time you have to offer!
Hospice Volunteer opportunities include:
- Patient Support - friendly visits, reading to a patient, light housekeeping, writing letters and meal prep
- Bereavement support - visit with the bereaved in person or over the phone, assist with grief support groups, coordinate community resources, bereavement mailings and calls
- Administrative support - copying, faxing, filing, sending cards to staff, making deliveries
- Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteers - Veteran Volunteers who offer camaraderie and compassionate care for fellow veterans and pinning ceremonies
- 11th hour volunteers - Trained non-medical volunteers who offer emotional support to patients and caregivers in the last hours of life.
- Other services - Reiki, massage, pet therapy, art therapy, music therapy and more
