Salesforce Developer- Administration (Volunteer)

Role Description:

Dad's Move is seeking one volunteer certified Salesforce Developer to work with our development team.
We have purchased 10 licenses (NPSP) and have an idea on how we would like to expand our CRM and data system to best utilize the software. Our goal is to recruit a certified developer who could give us 1-3 hours each week to help us develop our dream system. Division of labor will be discussed, examples include:

  • Data: Help us update data we have already imported.
  • Basic Salesforce set-up: Users, email (with templates), create a pipeline for grants, individual giving, and total fundraising.
  • Integration: Help us keep our Constant Contact information connection active.
  • Random spreadsheets
  • Data from Trello and other systems used

Essential Tasks:

  • Must have the ability to work in a self-directed capacity and respect and maintain confidentiality.
  • Meet with our Director and support staff regularly to help implement ideas.
  • Contribute to writing up SOPs for staff implementing Salesforce through video recordings or links to instructions using Trailblazers.

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of all technical aspects of Salesforce, including data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, 3rd party applications, AppExchange products, and custom code
  • Technical leadership, setting best practices including integration and application development, deployment, testing (unit and systems), and iterative refinement
  • Seek out ways to utilize NPSP to improve processes and productivity, and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace
  • Define, communicate, and manage a change management (release) process to develop and implement new applications/code and updates to existing applications/code
  • Create Salesforce reports and be able to establish connections to SharePoint


Qualifications & Requirements;

  • 1-3+ years of previous development experience with Salesforce (Certified Salesforce.com Developer and Admin)
  • Solid understanding of and detailed experience with Salesforce.com architecture and API
  • Experience using Salesforce data tools (Data Loader, Excel Connector, DemandTools, Eclipse Force.com IDE)
  • Strong understanding of relational databases
  • Experience integrating Salesforce.com with other applications via real-time, batch, sync/async
  • Experience with scripted data loader, web services, cloud or on-premise middleware and other enterprise-integrating technologies

Since 2011 Dads MOVE has sought to help struggling fathers and their families that are raising children with mental health and behavioral disorders. Over the years we have learned how many issues affect these children from trauma to the parent's own mental health.

We are a family-focused, father driven non-profit that serves families raising children with behavioral health concerns. The services we provide families are low to no cost, thanks to grants and our supporters like you. When we charge, we aim to recover our direct costs and we also offer financial assistance. We are committed to removing barriers and being an inclusive nonprofit.
