Want to make a difference in the lives of survivors?
When you volunteer at Thrive Survivor Support Center, the effect on you may be as great as the impact you have. Volunteers are integral to Thrive and play a critical role in all aspects of our organization! We appreciate the many volunteers who dedicate their skills, passion and expertise to help support survivors of violence and the Merrimack County community.
Thrive is looking for weekly or bi-monthly assistance for 2-3 hours on Mondays (and/or other business days) between 830a-430p to help with organizing in-kind and food donations in our confidential shelter. This includes making sure the donation room is easily accessible for donation drop off, ensuring accuracy of donation receipts, and sorting donations into their correct places.
The only qualifications needed are strong organization skills, the ability to lift up to 50lbs, the capacity to use stairs, the ability to alternate between standing and bending throughout your shift, and a passion to support survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
Shelter volunteers will need to complete Thrive's Confidentiality Training due to the job placement and nature. The next 30-hour training is scheduled for January 27th-31st 5-8pm and is a hybrid model with one in person session on the last day.
