Organize Shelter Donations - Ongoing Opportunity!

Want to make a difference in the lives of survivors? When you volunteer at Thrive Survivor Support Center, the effect on you may be as great as the impact you have. Volunteers are integral to Thrive and play a critical role in all aspects of our organization! We appreciate the many volunteers who dedicate their skills, passion and expertise to help support survivors of violence and the Merrimack County community. Thrive is looking for weekly or bi-monthly assistance for 2-3 hours on Monday-Friday between 830a-430p to help with organizing in-kind and food donations in our confidential shelter. This includes making sure the donation room is easily accessible for donation drop off, ensuring accuracy of donation receipts, and sorting donations into their correct places. The only qualifications needed are strong organization skills, the ability to lift up to 50lbs, the capacity to use stairs, the ability to alternate between standing and bending throughout your shift, and a passion to support survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Shelter volunteers will need to complete Thrive's Confidentiality Training due to the job placement and nature. Volunteers will need to complete criminal background and motor vehicle checks (paid by the agency).

Answer Survivors' Call - Become an Advocate Today!

Want to make a difference? When you volunteer at Thrive Survivor Support Center, the effect on you may be as great as the impact you have on survivors. As a volunteer advocate, you will work directly with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking, providing crucial support in their strongest moments. This is a remote opportunity that can be done anywhere in the state of New Hampshire, as long as you have a cell-phone with service and a confidential space. However, the training does include at least one day where in-person attendance is required at our office in Concord, NH. In the volunteer advocate role, you will be required to complete a 30-hour training that will prepare you to provide confidential advocacy and support. You are not required to have any previous training in crisis work, only a strong desire to help those in need of services and passion for making a difference for survivors. Volunteer advocates will be available on an on-call basis. Volunteering for the hotline is a remote opportunity that can be done from your home or wherever you may be, as long as you have access to a private space to provide all of your attention to the survivor. Hotline shifts are available from 7pm-7am Mon-Sun, 7a-7p Sat-Sun, and 4p-7p Mon-Fri. (While shifts are available during these times, it is not required for volunteers to sign up for the entire 12 hours.) Requirements: Must be 18 years or older and reside in the state of New Hampshire. Must be able to pass NH Criminal Background Check. Must participate and successfully complete 30-hour preservice training. Must commit to one (1) year of service. Must commit to 24 hours of service per month (with flexible combinations) Must have access to personal phone and/or laptop. Do you want to help support those who support survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Merrimack County? Do you enjoy tidying up and other basic office tasks? This opportunity may be for you! Thrive Survivor Support Center is looking to invite a volunteer to help out at our office to assist with the day to day housekeeping tasks. Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per week during business hours (8:30am-4:30pm) Key Responsibilities: Maintain a clean and organized office environment (tidying common areas, wiping surfaces to disinfect) Assist with restocking supplies in areas such as kitchen (snacks) and bathrooms (toilet paper, feminine products) Greet visitors and help with donation slips if needed Prepare meeting rooms, ensuring they are set up for staff meetings and events Skills/qualifications: Comfortable performing routine office maintenance tasks Ability to work independetly with minimal supervision Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to support our team Desire to help support survivors of domestic/sexual violence, stalking, human trafficking Benefits: Be part of a passionate, mission-driven team Gain experience in office administration within a nonprofit setting Play a vital role in supporting survivors with us
